Between scarabs and hieroglyphics, the epic of my personal cartouche

In 2019, during my trip to Egypt, I ventured between two explorations of royal tombs. For a passionate customer, I unearthed turquoise scarabs, typical emblems of the Pharaonic era.

It was then that, on the first floor of a jewellery store, I discovered a workshop where cartridges were made, these precious rectangular plaques decorated with hieroglyphs, so prized in Egypt.

The welcome from my colleagues was very warm, and they even offered to make my own cartridge! I dedicate it to my guide, Malik, of whom I weld the hieroglyphic signs of his first name and offer it to him as a souvenir.
